Shipping policy
Where I ship from
Every order is packed by hand in my studio in Brisbane, Australia, and posted with Australia Post. I ship worldwide.
Snail Mail Club
- Club editions are posted on the 9th of each month.
- Join by the 28th to get the next month's edition. (Example: sign up by 28 October for the edition posted on 9 November.)
- Postage is included in the club price.
- Club envelopes are sent untracked, standard letter post.
Shop orders
- Shop orders are posted within 3 to 5 business days.
- Pre-orders (like the advent calendar) are posted on the date shown on the product page, not within 3 to 5 days. If your order mixes pre-order and in-stock items, everything is posted together when the pre-order is ready.
- Free worldwide shipping on orders of AUD $75 and over.
- Tracked or untracked: at checkout you can choose tracked or untracked shipping on most small orders. Untracked is cheaper but has no tracking number (see the Refund policy for what that means if mail goes missing).
- Washi tape and bulkier items (like advent calendars) can only ship tracked, so the untracked option won't show for those carts.
Adding shop items to your club envelope
Club members can add shop items to their monthly envelope with free shipping. Use the code BUNDLESHIP at checkout and your shop items will be posted with your club envelope on the 9th (rather than straight away). This works for items that fit in a letter, so it doesn't apply to washi tape or bulky items.
BUNDLESHIP is for active Snail Mail Club members only. If it's used without an active club subscription, I'll email you to pay the shipping, and your order will be posted once that's paid.
How long it takes to arrive
Once posted, mail usually arrives in 2 to 6 weeks depending on where you are. Australian orders are usually faster. International mail can be wonderfully slow sometimes, especially around Christmas.
Christmas 2026 cut-offs
To give your order the best chance of arriving before Christmas:
- Untracked shop orders: order by 31 October (allows for the 2 to 6 week untracked delivery time)
- Tracked shop orders: order by 24 November (tracked is faster)
These dates are my best advice, not a guarantee. Once mail is with Australia Post, delivery times are out of my hands, and the Christmas rush can slow things down. Pre-orders and club editions follow their own posting dates, so the December club edition (posted 9 December) may not arrive before Christmas for overseas members.
I'm away from 16 December to 5 January. Orders placed then will be posted when I'm back.
Customs and import fees
Orders posted overseas are GST-free, so no Australian GST is charged on them. Prices and shipping don't include any import taxes, VAT, duties or customs fees your country may charge. I don't cover these fees. They're the responsibility of the person receiving the order, and are usually collected by your local post office on delivery. If a parcel is refused or not collected because of these fees, I can't offer a refund.
